Welcome Back! Happy New Year!
During the month of January, we will explore the colors of black and white, the oval shape, and the number 5.
We will participate in some fun winter themed activities including ice painting, marshmallow stamping, igloo building, and an indoor snowball fight.
Our penguin theme will have us reviewing shapes, making sets of 1-5, number identification, size order, and one to one correspondence.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, we will be learning about diversity and acceptance and ways we can make our world and community a better place. We will identify and recognize community helpers.
Please wear black and/or white to school on Jan. 29th and send in 1 black and/or white items that can be glued for our collage that day. (morning class) Afternoon class need only send 8 items.
Thank you to all of the helpers who made our birthday party for Jesus so much fun! A very heartfelt gratitude to you all as well for the lovely Christmas gifts. They are so special and very much appreciated. I received quite a few presents with no tag and so I apologize for not sending personal thank you cards to those givers. ?
Registration is now open for the 2019-20 school year to our currently enrolled families. Forms will be sent home with students. Spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please return your form and fee as soon as possible to guarantee your preferred class session for next year. I must say that I am thrilled to be looping with this class and having the joy of being their teacher in the fours program. Registration will be open to the public beginning Feb. 24 at our annual Open House. We ask for your help in sharing registration / Open House info with family and friends. Thank you.
